Foofa by Joe Quinones

I first saw Joe's work at my day job. His work always has a charm in not only style but also it's narrative. Izzy just thinks it's really cute. Thanks Joe! This was the last Foofa we got at the Small Press Expo. Hopefully we'll be able to get some more drawings soon!

Chris Schweizer's Curious Foofa!

Chris Schweizer was a friend of friends, now he's our friend too! SPX was the first time we had actually met this tall gentleman. Chris teaches Sequential Art and Animation at SCAD-Atlanta. He did this somewhat surprised looking Foofa for Izzy. He was also promoting his fresh of the press (and gorgeous!) new book, Crogan's Vengeance! Follow the link for HUGE 29 page preview and see for yourself!

Izzy finds treasure at Walmart?!?!

We saw on the YGG! production blog that Target and Walmart were now carrying YGG! clothes! So, we headed on over to try to snag some sweet Foofa PJ's for the cool Fall weather. They had these cute little Brobees though!

We were also looking for an outfit with lots of pink for Izzy to wear to the Komen Race for the Cure. This awesome Foofa shirt fit the bill so we picked that up!

This is the awesome display stand. We removed the hat & mitten sets for sec to uncover Plex's face. What a fun trip to the store! We're going to hit Target this weekend to see if we can scare up those Foofa jammies!

Humming her favorite tune!

Foofa is humming her favorite tune! What could it be? Maybe it's one of the YGG! songs now available on iTunes!

Bryan O'Malley made this super cute Foofa for Isabella at the Small Press Expo. Check out his awesome Scott Pilgrim comics!

Don't Be Afraid

Izzy's first encounter with the new line of Yo Gabba Gabba! toys. This is Muno's Groovin' Guitar we found in a local Target store. We were happy that it played lots of Izzy's favorite songs from season 1 including "Don't Be Afraid" by Foofa!

Izzy met Hope Larson at SPX 2008

Hope Larson was the 3rd generous artist to contribute a drawing to Izzy's little book at the Small Press Expo. Izzy liked watching her draw this and was curious about her cool brush!

Number 2 starts with a "D"

D is for Dustin Harbin! The second contributor to Izzy's book ; Dusty also had some sage advice for Izzy, "stop sucking your thumb or you'll get teeth like THIS!" Izzy was unfazed and continued to thumbsuck in earnest.

Izzy's first Foofa!

Izzy and I attended the Small Press Exo in Maryland a few weeks ago.
Mr. Chris Pitzer, handsome and generous publisher of AdHouse Books was the first artist to draw in Izzy's new book. He was too humble to take the first page. Izzy was thrilled with his rendition of Foofa, thanks Chris! Apologies to Chris for not being able to capture the blue pencil on our scanner!

Welcome Friends!

Welcome Friends! I have created this blog on behalf of my 3 year old daughter to showcase her convention sketchbook featuring Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba and whatever else Izzy is into at the moment. We'll occasionally post fun videos and photos too. Enjoy!
